Membership Terms and Conditions

(As outlined on Membership application)

TOADS member(s) are obliged to provide details of any and all incidents that you, or a dog owned or handled by you, have been involved in that may affect your membership with TOADS. This may include, but not be limited to, incidents that have been reported to another organisation, local council etc. Please be aware that TOADS will not be in a position to impose disciplinary action against you for any past actions taken, or not taken, by you. However, we may, if we deem it necessary for the protection of our members, their families, and their pets, and the members of the public, decide not to accept a membership application, not to register a dog with TOADS or request that an aggressive dog is crated when not competing and muzzled at any time when not crated, except when actually competing in the ring.

Members declare that none of the dogs currently registered in their name with TOADS are (in full or part) an American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Argentine Fighting Dog, Brazilian Fighting Dog and/or any other breed which may be deemed as a restricted dog. Nor are any of them individual dogs(s) which have been deemed as dangerous dogs as defined in the Companion Animal Act 1988 (NSW) and/or defined in any other State, Territory or the Commonwealth of Australia equivalent Act.

Conditions of membership

  • Members understand that participating in dog sports requires helping to set up and pack away the agility equipment.
  • Members understand that all dogs need to be vaccinated and registered with the local government body (if so required) and that evidence of this will be produced upon request.
  • Members hereby apply for membership to Townsville Outdoor Agility Dog Sports Inc. (TOADS). In the event of a membership admission I/We agree to be bound by the Rules and By-laws of the Club for the period of membership.
  • Members agree that if requested a medical certificate from a registered veterinarian to confirm a dog/s soundness for active physical training will be supplied. If an injury is noticed by instructors during training a dog/s will be asked to cease active training for the night.
